Blended Pathway

For students who prefer to be assessed in a variety of ways, not just examinations our blended pathway offers the opportunity for our students to take one vocational qualification in conjunction with two A Level qualifications. This reduces the number of final examinations taken at the end of two years enabling students to focus intensively on the exams the do have.

BTEC and OCR Cambridge Technical:
These are vocational qualifications normally studied over two years and – with assessments based mostly on assignments undertaken during the course – there are fewer exams at the end. They are also often tailored towards a specialised industry or sector, designed specifically to give you the skills and knowledge employers want for their staff.

The courses are available in a number of different subjects, making them the perfect option for anyone who wants to stay in education but doesn’t want to take three A-Levels.
