IPECO Visit

Our Technology students had an incredible opportunity last week visiting IPECO, gaining first-hand insight into the world of engineering and manufacturing.

The day began with an inspiring talk about the company, its global impact, and the wide range of opportunities available, particularly their highly regarded apprenticeship programme.

We were then given a tour of the manufacturing plant by three former King John students, now in their second year of the apprenticeship scheme. It was fantastic for our students to see alumni thriving in industry and representing the school so positively.

The experience didn’t stop there. Students were challenged to interpret an assembly drawing and take part in a hands-on task assembling components manufactured on site, adding a competitive edge to their learning!
A brilliant day linking classroom learning to real-world engineering, raising aspirations and opening doors to future pathways.
