Sports

Sports

We strive for sporting excellence, and there is an impressive range of opportunities in which students can represent the school locally, regionally and nationally.

We are proud of our students’ participation rates, and their enthusiasm for our extensive extra-curricular sporting timetable before, during, and after school. Our sporting expertise puts us at the top of the county and national championships in a whole range of sports. We also host a wide range of sporting competitions and community sport activities throughout the year. We have state-of-the-art sports facilities for all students to access, including a sports hall, gymnasium, fitness suite, dance studio, modern athletics area, sports field and netball courts.

Ski Trips

Every year the King John School takes students on a ski trip. The trips have been taken to Europe and North America and in recent years the trip alternates between the two continents giving students the opportunity to ski in either destination.

Easter 2020 is to Snowbasin Resort in Utah, USA. The following year will be to Italy and then 2022 back to North America. Ski trips will continue in this pattern, alternating between Europe and North America moving forward.
