APPEAL PROCEDURE FOR ENTRY IN SEPTEMBER 2018
If you wish to appeal against a decision not to offer your child a place you must complete an appeal form. This can be downloaded on the right hand side or obtained from the school by telephoning 01702 558284 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for return of the forms is 29 March 2018. Forms received after this date will not be accepted. If you have not received an acknowledgement to your appeal form by 16th April please contact the school.
Appeals will be heard by an Independent Appeals Panel on 2nd, 3rd and 4th May 2018.
Please note that Essex County Council are responsible for making the offers so we are unable to answer any queries as to why your child may not have been offered a place. They also hold the waiting list until August 2018 so we are unable to answer any queries as to where your child might be on the waiting list.
|1 March 2018||National Offer Day – parents informed of outcome of application by Essex County Council|
|29 March 2018||Deadline by when appeals should have been lodged to the school. If your appeal is received later than this date it may still be dealt with but it may not be heard before the end of the summer term|
|2nd, 3rd, 4th May 2018||Appeals heard by those lodged by the deadline|
|Up to 17th July 2018||Appeals heard where possible for late appeals|
|September 2018 onwards||Appeals heard for any appeals not heard before 17th July|
